SharePoint 2019 Migration: Act Before October 2026

After October 14, 2026, Microsoft will no longer provide security patches, bug fixes, or technical support for SharePoint Server 2019. Unlike SharePoint 2013 and 2016, there is NO extended support option for SharePoint 2019. There is no SharePoint 2022 — Microsoft has shifted to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SPSE) as the on-premises path forward. SPSE is supported until October 2028 (with likely extension). However, SPSE requires a new license and server infrastructure investment.
